Fun with Traffic
Did I say an hour's drive? Well... aiming for a 6pm show, I would hit Boston in the height of rush hour, so I knew I'd better allow more time than that, and I got on the road at 3:30. Two hours later when I was at close to a full stop on the highway and still 3 exits away, knowing Joe Stark usually starts playing at 5:45, I was NOT what you would call happy. Big Dig - if it means nothing to you, thank your patron saint of traffic. I just kept telling myself "Styx doesn't play until 9:00 - Styx doesn't play until 9:00..."
Then there's parking... I'll spare you.
Finally walked up to the front gates at around 6:30... Joe Stark and band are sitting down to do their meet and greet by then. Oh well - I'll have one more chance to see them if traffic cooperates then!
