STYX in Chicago

These were the memorable onstage moments for me…

Glen, JY and Tommy

Tommy and JY

Lawrence

Todd

JY's smile, brighter and more dazzling than I have ever seen it.

Glen talking about how cool it was to be in Chicago and get to lay out on a beach before the show.

JY, Tommy and Glen seeming to spend endless time over on the spot of the stage right in front of me.

Glen taking time to make sure he picked up all the panties thrown at him, even the pair that went behind a coil of rope.

Tommy's crocheted sweater that looks pretty transparent from across the stage!

The presentation of the check to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and David Spero wearing his red and black Hall of Fame shirt that looked so much like an official bowling shirt from the Styx "Tidy Bowlers" team.

David Spero saying, "I thought Cleveland loved you guys until I saw Chicago!"

Finally seeing Todd during the check presentation instead of just seeing cymbals move and figuring he must be back there!

Lawrence wearing the Blackhawks jersey and looking SO happy.

JY's smile - worth a second mention. He was glowing all night.

Chuck

Chuck

Chuck

CHUCK.

Tommy introduced Chuck at the beginning of "Fooling Yourself" and said, as he has been saying lately, that the band started in Chuck and John’s basement. As they began the song, Chuck leaned toward the microphone and said softly, "This is for him." Never before have I been moved to tears during a concert, but this did it. I was drying my eyes with my blue gloves by the end of the song.

Chuck got me one more time - midstage during "Come Sail Away," after the line "On board I’m the captain," he raised his hand and saluted like John did in the video. A small gesture not even in the direction of the audience, but that brought on my second round of tears for the evening.

Last and not anywhere near least: Chuck center stage in his hometown, with a smile a mile wide, soaking in applause and adoration from a packed house.
