Styx's last concert date
before this was back in mid-February, and I don't know who was more anxious
for them to get back out on stage, them or us! When Glen stepped up to the
mike before "Edge of the Century," he turned to JY and asked,
"This is the part of the show where I go 'day-o', right?" Then
he teased us - he said "There's a bunch of people up front here who all
go on the internet and say to each other 'I'm going to the show, are you going
to the show?' Well for all of you - we won't be here tomorrow night."
That got a laugh - Todd immediately followed that with a snare
drum/cymbal crash "badum - bump" that got a bigger one!
"Edge of the Century" really rocked - Glen was ON!

All the guys were very loose and joking around - Tommy thanked us for coming to the continuation of the 1999 tour! He looked over at JY and asked, "What was it supposed to be, about 30 shows? Well here we are 231 shows later!" Tommy joked about Glen's new haircut… JY announced that Todd's new nickname was "the Freight Train of Sausage"… don't ask me why… however Todd followed that up with another rim shot!
