Feel that energy!
"Love Is The Ritual" was incredible… as Tommy said, a stone groove! He said that "Love Is The Ritual" was kind of Glen's introduction to Styx, and then followed with what he called his own introduction to Styx, "Crystal Ball". Next was "Miss America," which JY kicked off by calling out "MISSISSIPPI - and all the other states everyone came from - ARE YOU READY?" This is the song that always wakes up anyone left out there not standing, and gets them on their feet for the rest of the show. The smaller stage of Bluesville makes the show a lot of fun - I guess you have to be a certain kind of person to understand how it can be a kick to have to watch your hands to make sure someone on the stage doesn't step on them, or duck so that you don't get hit in the head with a guitar, but trust me - it's a blast! I saw the people over at the side of the stage near Lawrence's keyboard lean back out of the way during "Too Much Time On My Hands" as JY, Tommy and Glen all came tearing by on their way around the keyboard! Was it my imagination or did JY lead them on an extra lap tonight?
