Survivor kicks it off
Survivor came on, and they were great! I stayed in my seat for about one song. I was in seat 24, all the way on the end, past the corner of the stage, and there was no one in seats 21-23, so I scooted up a couple of seats toward the middle. Security saw me and didn't ask me to go back. I would have been fine with going back to my assigned seat if anyone came to claim the seat I was in, but no one ever did - well as far as I know! I got further away from my seat later so I'm not sure!
Linda and Edith were standing, singing and clapping along like they were the night before, and Jimi smiled and sang to them. Bands like to be appreciated! By the time they played "Eye of the Tiger" as their closer, everyone stood and sang along and gave them a great reaction. Another excellent performance!
Between sets I went and looked around a little more, and went out in the hallway behind the door to the other side of the stage, where Styx's equipment was. Crew members were bringing instruments and other things back and forth through the door, and I leaned up against the wall to watch. One of the security guards, an older gentleman, asked if he could help me, and again I said no, just looking if that's okay, and he smiled and said that was fine. Very cool security at this venue - good about not making trouble for you if you weren’t making trouble for them! So I stood and watched for a while, then headed back in when it was almost show time. Everything was running twenty to thirty minutes later than usual, so I was hoping that meant there was no curfew and the show would run full length. Luckily that was true, and we didn't get out until almost midnight!
