These kids today
This band doesn't just walk out onto a stage, they take command of it. The energy they have is unbelievable, and contagious! After the show, I met someone who said that when he first saw Glen in the shades and the knit hat, he thought, "They've got some kid up there playing bass!" But his second thought was, "Wow, that kid can rock!" Boy, can they - all of them!
During "Lady," I got out my cell phone. During the epic Florida Styx misadventures in March, some wonderful friends had called me during the Hallandale show for "Lorelei" and "Miss America." I can never really pay that back, but I can try and make return phone calls! I couldn't call Kelly because she was busy at an REO Speedwagon concert. Funny - next time she saw Styx, I was seeing REO that night! But Debbie was available, so she got a phone call during Lawrence's piano solo and "Lady." I just punched the button and hoped it was going through, and it did!
