The family that STYX together...
Once inside, I went over to the merchandise table. At first I didn't see Casey, and I figured the two young guys at the table must work for the venue. Then I happened to see the name on their laminates and I looked at them again - they were Casey's sons! Casey showed up after a few minutes and I got to talk to him and his wife. The family was traveling with him during the kids' spring break from school, and he had his sons working the table. What a cool part time job!
As it got closer to show time, we went into the theatre. I actually sat in my seat for about a minute and a half, then saw Cindy and Jerry up at the stage reading the set list, so I went up to talk to them and get a preview of what was going to be played. Cindy and Jerry had brought a beach ball that we all signed at the party, and they were able to give it to Keith to give to the band. After a few minutes, I turned around and saw Sharon and Jan and Laura and Lori, and talked to them for a while too. When Laura and Lori found out I was there by myself, they told me there was a seat next to them that they thought no one would be in, and I could try sitting there if I wanted to, and see if anyone came to chase me out! They were on the second row, but far enough over at the side that there were no first row seats in front of them - no one between them and the stage! So I sat down, and sure enough I got to stay - thanks SO much, girls!
